Keyence fiber Optic Sensors has an optical fiber connected to a light source to allow for detection in tight spaces or where a small profile is beneficial.  Optical fibers can be used as sensors to measure strain,[1] temperature, pressure and other quantities by modifying a fiber so that the quantity to be measured modulates the intensity, phase, polarization, wavelength or transit time of light in the fiber. Sensors that vary the intensity of light are the simplest, since only a simple source and detector are required. A particularly useful feature of intrinsic fiber-optic sensors is that they can, if required, provide distributed sensing over exceptionally large distances. 

Keyence and Bammer Engineering machine vision systems use images captured by a camera to determine presence, orientation, and accuracy of parts. These vision sensors differ from image inspection “systems” in that the camera, light, and controller are integrated together, which makes the unit’s installation and operation simple. There are differences between these vision systems and other general-purpose sensors. Keyence IV and IV2 series vision sensors are designed for difficult applications that formerly required multiple conventional photoelectric sensors or proximity sensors can now be tackled easily and at low cost with one IV Series vision sensor.
